On the year of its 30th anniversary, two of PROSTAID’s past-presidents and key figures, Ron Gorham and Bob Shiell, share their recollections of the organization, their journeys with prostate cancer and how far we’ve all come from 1993. Current president, Brad Sterling, also helps give us context with a little time warp to how things were in the early days of the 1990s.
In the early 1990’s I was the radiotherapy nurse for men receiving radiotherapy for prostate cancer. I started a weekly education group for those men. I remember most of the guys referred to in this talk.us Too started up during this time, and it’s exciting to see how the movement has grown.
